Tara Tighe Persuades the National Security Agency to Lift Government Contracting Suspension and Forgo Debarment of Career Engineer

APRIL 2021

On April 15, 2021, the National Security Agency (NSA) agreed to lift a suspension that precluded the firm’s client, a career software engineer, from contracting with any executive branch agency. The NSA also agreed not to pursue efforts to debar the engineer from government contracting based upon the suspension. Schertler Onorato Mead & Sears Of Counsel Tara N. Tighe obtained this favorable outcome through effective advocacy emphasizing that the suspension had resulted from an isolated incident in the client’s otherwise exemplary career and highlighting the client’s dedication to continued education and responsible government contracting. With the suspension lifted, the client can resume his career dedicated to providing technical solutions and support in service of defense and intelligence agencies.
