Schertler & Onorato is pleased to announce that on December 1, 2019, Christopher B. Mead joined the firm as a partner. With Mr. Mead’s addition, the firm will transition its name to Schertler, Onorato & Mead.
Mr. Mead is a seasoned trial attorney who spent six years as a federal prosecutor in the District of Maryland before co-founding the law firm London & Mead in 1994. Mr. Mead has successfully tried dozens of cases to verdict as lead trial counsel in a wide range of substantive civil and criminal areas, including patent and intellectual property litigation, health care and pharmaceutical litigation and prosecutions, and complex contract disputes. Mr. Mead also regularly represents corporations and individuals in high-profile criminal investigations and agency enforcement matters covering subjects such as securities and accounting fraud, tax fraud, government contracting, public corruption, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the False Claims Act. Mr. Mead is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, has repeatedly been listed as one of the top 100 lawyers in Washington, D.C. by the Washington Post and Washingtonian magazine, and is recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for his expertise and skills in both civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
Mr. Mead adds extensive trial experience, broad substantive knowledge, and strategic acumen to the firm’s already robust civil and white-collar litigation practice led by partners David Schertler, Danny Onorato, and Stuart Sears.
